Our Native American Dig program offers a unique opportunity for campers to participate in a real excavation, discovering acnient artifacts and learning about the history and culture of the indigenous peoples.

Sautee Noochee Tribe
The Sautee Nacoochee tribe, also known as theSoquec or Sautee, was a subgroup of the Cherokee Nation that traditionally resided in the northeastrn part of Georgia. This tribe was known for their skills in Farming, huntingg and gathering proactices. The Sautee Nacoochee tribe was forcibly removed from their ancestral lands during the Trail of Tears in 1830.
